Gender Sensitization and awareness is very important to create a progressive society. On Saturday 13 December 2025 a panel discussion on the topic “Equality begins with respect for every gender, always” was organized by the Era University. The discussion was organized for students and faculty members. The panel included versatile experts Dr. Uma Gupta, Professor Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Alpana Rastogi, Assistant Professor, Clinical Psychology, Mr. Mohd. Azharuddin, Placement Officer and Dr. Swati Joshi, Assistant Professor Sociology. The discussion was initiated by panelist explaining the concept of gender, it’s difference from biological sex and gender stereotypes. Panelists tried to discuss all the aspects of the concept. More than 250 students and faculty members were present in the discussion. After sensitization the panel answered the questions of students related to the discussion. The event was guided and organized by Assistant Registrar, Era University Dr. Ghazala Zaidi and coordinated by Dr. Swati Joshi and Ms. Hershika Verma. Student anchors Faiza Hashmi from Department of Liberal Education and Insiya from Department of Computer Science proposed the vote of thanks to the panelists and audience for the fruitful session.
