Era University, Creative Arts Club organized a GST Bachat Utsav and Garba Competition on 27 September, 2025, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Mini Audi on the Ground Floor, University Building. This was a part of the initiative by P.M. Narendra Modi in which he congratulated hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abbas Ali Mahdi on GST Bachat Utsav on the occasion of Navratri through his email. In his email correspondence, he shared the significant growth of cottage industries and indigenous products which would lead to “Viksit Bharat” by 2047. The empowerment of common people “Nagrik devo bhav” has created a new middle class with exemption of income from taxes upto 12 lakh rupees of annual income.
This tax-free income and GST reforms have saved 2.5 lakh crore rupees of Indian citizens which calls for a celebration on the occasion of Navratri through a Garba Competition organized on the Era Campus. The participants could take part as solo or duet performers. The judgment criterion was based on costume creativity, originality, cultural relevance of attire and stage presence. The hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor congratulated the organizing team for bringing together talent, culture, and festivities.
