PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The PG Diploma in VFX and Rotoscopy equips students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in 2D Classical and Digital Animation, 3D Animation, and Visual Effects. The training is designed for professionals and leads to a variety of career opportunities upon completion. Rotoscopy and VFX are two different terms. VFX stands for visual effects and is associated with the filmmaking process, whereas Rotoscopy refers to the animation technique. Visual effects and animations are the focus of this diploma program.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
  • To learn how to create 3D environments according to VFX shot and camera handling for shoots
  • To learn Basic to Advance Sketching, including Perspective, Background, Organic Anatomy
  • To learn Post-production for Shoots, including Camera Angles, Narrative Writing & Storyboarding
  • To be able to create photorealistic textures for 3D assets and characters for VFX shots, as well as 3D lighting based on the VFX shot (to match the real setup)
  • To participate in Industry workshops so as to understand the current industry trends
  • To acquire an extensive understanding of Matte Painting (background) for 3D Shots, 2D and 3D Compositing including live action footage and 3D Effects and also Composition of 2D shots and 3D assets
  • To provide opportunities to work with Toolbox Studio
  • To learn about 3D Stereoscopy to create 3D videos, including depth and 2D and 3D effects
  • To be able to create live short action film / advertisement using 3D assets and 2D live footage with Visual Effects & 3D Animation
ELIGIBILITY

Minimum eligibility to apply to the program is 10+2 in any stream with at least 50% aggregate score.

  • Students pursuing or completed Graduate/ Postgraduate studies in any discipline can also apply
  • Working professionals are also eligible to apply
