We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager / Head – Human Resources to lead and transform the HR function across a large, Multiple Institutions/Colleges academic and healthcare institution. This role requires strong expertise in strategic HR leadership, compliance within regulated environments, and managing HR operations for a large workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and overall supervision to the HR function
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with institutional goals
- Lead recruitment and workforce planning for faculty, clinicians, administrative, and support staff
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory bodies such as UGC, NMC, PCI, INC, AICTE, NAAC, NABH, and NBA
- Design and manage performance appraisal systems and KPIs
- Drive learning & development, leadership development, and succession planning initiatives
- Strengthen employee engagement, grievance redressal, POSH compliance, and workplace culture
- Draft, implement, and update HR policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks
- Oversee HR operations including payroll, attendance, leave management, contracts, and employee records
- Manage compensation structures and ensure statutory compliance
- Lead HRMS/HRIS implementation and workforce analytics
- Liaise with auditors, consultants, and government authorities
- Support inspections, audits, and accreditation processes
- Collaborate with senior academic, clinical, and administrative leadership
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualification
- Postgraduate / Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent
Experience
- Minimum 18 years of progressive HR experience
- At least 8 years in a senior HR leadership role
- Relevant experience of working in Higher Education/University and preferably a private University having Medical College.
- Proven experience managing large workforce (3000+ employees)
- Hands-on exposure to multiple institutions/colleges, regulated environments
