COURSE OVERVIEW

The Ph.D. in Chemistry course at Era University is a research-focused doctoral course that aims at advancing scientific innovation and interdisciplinary research.
The course includes a specialized initial coursework focused on research methodology to equip the students with a strong foundation for conducting high-quality, ethical, and scientifically rigorous research. THRUST RESEARCH AREAS

Organic Synthesis, Medicinal Chemistry, Natural Products Chemistry, Green Chemistry, Computational Chemistry, and Bioanalytical Chemistry

ELIGIBILITY
  • Candidates holding an M.Sc. degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or other relevant branches of Chemical Sciences, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade, or an M.Pharm. degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade, shall be eligible.
  • Candidates who have completed at least one year or two semesters of a Master’s degree course after a four-year or eight-semester Bachelor’s degree course, with a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade, shall be eligible.
  • Candidates holding an M.Phil. degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or other relevant branches of Chemical Sciences, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade, shall be eligible.
  • A relaxation of 5% marks or an equivalent grade shall be provided to candidates belonging to the SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS, and differently abled categories, as applicable.
  • Candidates possessing qualifications equivalent to those specified in Clauses 1–3 from a foreign educational institution shall also be eligible, provided that such institution is accredited by an assessment and accreditation agency that is approved, recognized, or authorized under the laws of its home country, or by any other statutory authority in that country responsible for assessing, accrediting, or assuring the quality and standards of educational institutions.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

All the eligible candidates will be called for a written exam followed by an interview. Candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC NET-JRF/NET-LS/NET-PhD and any other JRF exam shall be exempt from qualifying the entrance test and would be eligible to directly appear in the interview.
