PROGRAM OVERVIEW

APG Program in UI Design and Development from ERA UNIVERSITY is a full-time program that provides the key skills with respect to interface designing for a variety of digital applications. Our learned faculty train the students to design the finest products ensuring that they reach a global audience.

The program imparts an in-depth knowledge on basic design elements, Web page designing, UI development for mobile apps, GUI, UX fundamentals like user-centric design approach, and beyond to provide an all-round knowledge in UI Designing. The skills acquisition that the program offers enables students to shoulder highly important roles and responsibilities in Web / Mobile App Development companies, Graphic Design companies, and UX Design organizations.

THE TECHNICAL OVERVIEW

User experience (UX) is how a person feels when interfacing with a system which could be a website, a web application or desktop software and, according to the 21st century modern definition, is generally denoted by some form of human-computer interaction (HCI).It is the process that is used by the design teams to create products that offer meaningful and relevant experiences to users.

Fundamentals of Graphic: Learning the fundamental principles of graphic design: image making, typography, composition, working with colour and shape.

FundamentalsofUI Design:User Interface (UI) Design focuses on anticipating what users might need to do and ensuring that the interface has elements that are easy to access, understand, and use to facilitate those actions. UI brings together concepts from Interaction design, visual design and information architecture 

 Fundamentals of UI Development:

  • Learning how to implement modern web pages with HTML and CSS.
  • Learning how to code the pages such that its components rearrange and resize themselves automatically based on the size of the user’s screen.
  • Learning to code up a web page that will be just as useful on a mobile phone as on a desktop computer. 

UI Tool &FrameworkLearning of tools like Photoshop, illustrator, XD, Figma, Vs code, SCSS, Gulp, Web pack and framework like Bootstrap and, Tailwind. 

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
  • To build the skills for professionally addressing the usability, aesthetics and product needs of digital products, involving traditional and futuristic technologies.
  • To incorporate best visual design elements, such as buttons, icons, text, audio, video, animations, graphics, images, and many more in such a way to attain easy usability and complete user satisfaction.
  • It also enables students to create seamless interactions, design navigation and structure maps for digital applications.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The minimum qualification required to enrol for this program is a Graduate Degree in any stream from a recognised college/ institute. Working professionals can also apply.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Upon the accomplishment of the program the students are expected to be able to:

  • Organize information about users into useful summaries with affinity diagrams
  • Learn, realize and admire the skill of sketching as a process for user experience design
  • Learn to give and accept critiques of design ideas in a constructive manner
  • Appreciate the process of user experience design as a repetitive and reoccurring process
  • Understand the differences between usability and user experience
  • Analyze an interaction design problem and propose a user-centered process, justifying the process and identifying the trade-offs
  • Prepare high quality, professional documentation and artifacts relating to the design process for preparation for a professional portfolio
