Era University's Game Design & Development program launches your successful career as a game developer.

Game Designing is the phase where the entire design along with the initial framework of the game is conceptualised where as Game Development is the phase where the game designer’s ideas are transformed and shaped into an actual game.

The PG Diploma Program in Game design and Development at Era University is a 1-year, full-time program that provides extensive knowledge in programming, which helps students to build highly functional products. The program offers knowledge that focuses on game building, thus enabling students to build cross-platform products and also trains them to work with Game Engines to develop high quality games.

Students learn in a linear fashion, from the fundamentals to specialised practice, using a variety of instructional modalities. In addition to regular classroom sessions, they also participate in seminars, workshops and interactive sessions hosted by renowned industry leaders, as well as enjoy outdoor learning sessions. The program brings together the skills of Game Art, Game Design, and Game Development, giving students more opportunities of career building.

The curriculum combines the abilities of game art, game design, and game development and prepares students for exciting careers as Game Programmers, AI/UI Programmers, Tool Developers, Level Designers, and much more. It provides an all-round knowledge from traditional art to digital art (2D & 3D), various techniques employed in game art, game design principles, and programming games for various platforms.

ELIGIBILITY

Minimum eligibility to apply to the program is 10+2 in any stream with at least 50% aggregate score.

  • Students pursuing or completed Graduate/ Postgraduate studies in any discipline can also apply
