Department of Pediatrics Neonatology

 

The Department of Paediatrics and Neonatology at Eras Lucknow Medical College and Hospital encompasses all aspects related to children, both during illness and health. The department has expanded its role from just therapeutic to preventive, social and educational aspects of child health. This department provides the best care to children through coordinated efforts of its three specialties, i.e. Paediatrics, Neonatology and Pediatric Surgery.

The department has a well-equipped, state-of-the-art NICU and PICU. The Pediatric Gastroenterology unit has a well-equipped endoscopy unit where all diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are done in infants and children. It is also actively involved in postgraduate education and research activities.

Treatment Facility


A Pediatric Cardiology Unit has been introduced with the facility of 2D ECHO with plans for upgradation in the future. The department has grown significantly over the years. It is today a sought-after centre of excellence in advanced, comprehensive clinical care, postgraduate education, research and social health.


Academic Activities


The Paediatrics and Neonatology Department is actively involved and achieving laurels in Research Activities. The department successfully runs postgraduate courses with 10 PG students annually and 2 PDCC courses (Pediatrics Gastroenterology and Neonatology).
