PROGRAM OVERVIEW

M.Sc. (Clinical Psychology) or Master of Science in Clinical Psychology is a Post Graduate Program. Clinical Psychology is an integration of science, theory, and clinical knowledge for the purpose of understanding, preventing, and relieving psychologically - based distress or dysfunction and to promote subjective well- being and personal development. In the year 2020, our Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Farzana Mahdi, added one more star to Era University by introducing "Department of Clinical Psychology" for clinical studies.
EU offers a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, which is among the most needed and fruitful programs for students. Master of Clinical Psychology is a two- year academic program to demonstrate understanding of, and competency in core clinical skills essential for effective professional practice.

ELIGIBILITY

A candidate with B.A./ B.Sc. in Psychology/ Clinical Psychology with minimum 50% marks in aggregate is eligible.

COURSE DURATION

M.Sc. (Clinical Psychology) is a full time two year course with four semester system, offered for students.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE

The objectives of M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology program are:-

  • To demonstrate knowledge of the scientific body of information pertaining to personality and individual differences,social bases of behavior, developmental bases of behavior, biological bases of behavior and psychopathology.
  • To demonstrate understanding of, and competency in core clinical skills essential for effective professional practice.
  • To enhance the ability of students to conduct clinical research in hospital setting and utilize empirical data for clinical practice.
PROGRAM OUTCOMES

Students holding an M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology degree can work in consulting with top corporate executives and they can also work as a medical counsellor in hospitals. Social Service and Mental Health Career are two of the most popular career options for post - graduate students. Students can also get the opportunity to work directly with patients who are struggling with mental illness and other ailments.
