The new students of academic session 2025-26 for the Faculty of Allied Health Science, namely BMLT, BRIT, B.OPTO and BPT were welcomed through an Induction Program, “Deeksharambh 2025” on 28th July, 2025 held in the Lecture Theatre on the ground floor of the Hospital Block, Era University. The Induction program will be followed by six days of Orientation and Foundation classes.
The Student Induction Program (SIP) was held according to the SAGE model of UGC with emphasis on socializing, associating, governing and experiencing. The hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abbas Ali Mahdi promoted focus on ‘attendance policy’ of the University. He encouraged the students to attend hundred percent of their classes on campus. He further said that the students could, however, be allowed a 25 percent leverage in their attendance on account of personal reasons or at times when they fell sick. He also told the students about the Value Added Course at ‘Department of Happiness’ at Era University which is conducted for psychological and emotional wellbeing.
The Assistant Dean, Faculty of Allied Health Science, Prof. Sumit Asthana delivered the welcome address, where he introduced the various courses at the Faculty of Allied at Era University to the students. He also mentioned rules and regulations pertaining to the Allied Faculty.
The Controller of Examination, Prof. Tasleem Raza addressed the students and discussed the examination policy of Era University. He guided the students about examination pattern in Allied faculty.
The Proctor, Prof. Dilshad Ali Rizvi spoke about the importance of good behavior on campus to save students from any punishment. He stressed on the importance of discipline on campus.
The Induction program was concluded by a vote of thanks by Dr. Rupali Mirza, Chairperson, Induction-Orientation, Era University and Head, Department of English. The event was compered by Dr. Shazia Fatima. The Chairperson thanked all the people who were instrumental in making the program successful including her own team members, namely, Dr. Minhaj Usmani, Dr. Saleha Jafri, Dr. Shazia Fatima, Dr. Shipra Srivastava, Mr. Ajaydeep Singh, Ms. Jyoti Anurag and Ms. Laiba Rind. The Induction program was graced by Assistant Registrar, Dr. Ghazala Zaidi, Heads; Prof. Usman Khan, Dr. Sunil Gupta and Coordinator, Allied, Dr. Shallabh Singh. The program was followed by refreshments for the students and dignitaries.
