The new students of academic session 2025-26 for the Faculty of Pharmacy, Bachelor and Diploma Pharmacy were welcomed through an Induction Program, “Deeksharambh 2025” on 6th August, 2025 held in the Mini Audi on the ground floor of the Era University Building. The Student Induction Program (SIP) was held according to the SAGE model of UGC with emphasis on socializing, associating, governing and experiencing. The Induction will be followed by five days of Orientation and Foundation Classes.
The hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abbas Ali Mahdi in his address, motivated the students to inculcate a passion for their discipline and be the best professional in their field as the competitive world has no place for a ‘second fiddle’. He spoke about the importance of regular attendance. He also stressed the importance of happiness and wellbeing for students and a value added course introduced as a part of their curriculum for the same.
Dean, Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. S.J.S. Flora laid emphasis on the human capital in the making of any Institution. He stressed the importance of taking ownership and responsibility to make 'College of Pharmacy' at Era University, an acclaimed name and bring laurels to the University.
Principal, Pharmacy, Prof. Mohd. Asif delivered the welcome address, where he introduced the various courses at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Era University to the students. He also mentioned rules and regulations pertaining to the Pharmacy Faculty.
The Controller of Examination, Prof. Tasleem Raza addressed the students and discussed the examination policy of Era University. He guided the students about examination pattern in Pharmacy faculty.
The Assistant Proctor and Assistant Registrar, Dr. Ghazala Zaidi spoke about the importance of discipline on campus to save students from any punishment. She stressed on the importance of good behaviour on campus.
The Induction program was concluded by a vote of thanks by Dr. Rupali Mirza, Chairperson, Induction-Orientation, Era University and Head, Department of English. The event was compered by Mrs. Laiba Rind. The Chairperson thanked all the people who were instrumental in making the program successful including her own team members, namely, Dr. Minhaj Usmani, Dr. Saleha Jafri, Dr. Shazia Fatima, Dr. Shipra Srivastava, Mr. Ajaydeep Singh, Ms. Jyoti Anurag and Ms. Laiba Rind. The Induction program was graced by other dignitaries from Pharmacy, namely, Former Principal, Pharmacy, Prof. Mohini Chaurasia and the coordinators from Pharmacy College.
