Era’s Lucknow Medical College & Hospital commemorated World Liver Day 2025 under the theme “Food Is Medicine” on April 18, 2025, with a vibrant poster presentation by the Nursing Department that showcased the critical role of balanced nutrition in maintaining liver wellness. The Continuing Medical Education session opened with a warm welcome from Dr. Prof. Vaibhav Shukla, Head of the Department of Medicine, who introduced our distinguished guests and speakers. Guest of honour Dr. Prof. Abbas Ali Mahdi, Vice Chancellor, underscored the liver’s central metabolic and detoxification functions and the imperative for preventive dietary strategies, followed by Dr. Prof. Jamal Masood, Principal & CMS, who highlighted the community’s responsibility in promoting safer liver health. Dr. Prof. Amit Goel, Chair of Hepatology at SGPGIMS, Lucknow, delivered an in?depth discussion on Hepatitis B and C, engaging attendees in an extensive panel dialogue, and Dr. Abhai Verma, Director of Gastroenterology at Medanta, Lucknow, presented on the rising incidence and prevention of MASLD.
