I feel very proud and privileged to be a part of Era College of Nursing, Era University. Our Department of Community Health Nursing was established to provide in-depth knowledge, skills, and practice on community setup with concepts, philosophy, and principles of community health nursing and public health view to develop national health goals and strategy. The Department serves society like individuals, families, and the community based on “prevention is better than cure” with various activities like community posting, field visits, surveys, camps, school health visits, and participation in national health programs through Govt. of. Uttar Pradesh.
The Department is involved in the training of Postgraduates and Undergraduates. These students are trained for family & community assessment to identify health problems of people, formulate community diagnoses as community health officers, treatment for minor ailments, and formulate nursing care plans. The Department has well-equipped skill lab.
The students are further trained to make referrals for people with problems and provide health education with emphasis on primary prevention with the help of SC, PHC, CHC, District hospitals, Specialty clinic and health and wellness center. The strength of our Department is to work together, plan the program as per INC guidelines of clinical as well as theory programs.
