PROGRAMMES

Name of the programme: Bachelor of Optometry (B.OPTOM)
Eligibility:

  • Candidate must have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Mathematic with 50 % Marks.
  • Medical fitness certificate is mandatory to submit and it is to be endorsed by Government medical officer.
  • He/she has completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31 December of the year of his/her admission to the first year of the Undergraduate (Optometry).
  • Provision of Lateral Entry
    Lateral Entry to the candidates in second year (3rd semester) who have passed Diploma in Optometry / Ophthalmic Assistant.

Course Duration: 5 Years (4+1 year compulsory internship)

Name of the programme: Master of Optometry (M.OPTOM)
Eligibility:
  • Candidates must have passed Bachelor of Optometry (B. Optom) on regular mode from recognised university with 55% aggregate marks.
  • Admission on the basis of entrance exams followed by interview
  • Post Graduate entrance criteria requires to be compulsory registered member of National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP).
